Role of the CSDGs
• Serve as a nodal point for coordinating university-level initiatives on the SDGs.
• Advocate and support the implementation of policies, practices, and research that contribute to environmental protection, social equity, and economic development.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge sharing on sustainable development.

Functions of the CSDGs
1. Curriculum & Academic Integration
a) Develop and promote SDG-aligned curricula, courses, and certificate programs.
b) Offer value-added and online courses on sustainability topics.
2. Research and Innovation
a) Support interdisciplinary research projects targeting SDG-related themes.
b) Organize seminars, conferences, and workshops to share innovations and findings.
3. Community Outreach & Capacity Building
a) Conduct awareness campaigns, training, and capacity-building programs in rural and urban communities.
b) Foster student and faculty participation in sustainability outreach and social responsibility programs.
4. Policy and Institutional Sustainability
a) Guide the development and implementation of institutional policies related to energy, water, waste, biodiversity, and carbon footprint reduction. b) Monitor and report university progress towards sustainability indicators and SDGs.
5. Partnership and Networking
o Build networks and partnerships with national and international universities, government departments, NGOs, and private sector organizations to promote sustainable development initiatives.
6. Green Campus Initiatives
a) Promote environmental audits, plastic-free initiatives, rainwater harvesting, renewable energy adoption, and biodiversity conservation on campus.
b) Act as a model campus demonstrating sustainable practices for replication in other institutions.
